The Herpes Cure Remedies You Should Know.

Herpes is a group of virus that is known to cause painful sores and blisters. The commonly known is herpes simplex virus. Herpes simplex virus is of type two and one. The type 1 virus leads to blisters and sores around your mouth while the other type 2 leads to genital sores. Because of this, type 1 is the cause of oral herpes while type 2 is known for causing genital herpes. Contact is the mode of spreading Herpes simplex virus.

Basically, herpes type 1 is transmitted when an individual gets into contact with infected saliva. However, infected saliva contact may arise when kissing or due to sharing personal items or utensils with an infected person. This infection is associated with mouth infection or infection of the lips and face. However, type 2 is transmitted sexually and results in genital sores. It is, however, possible to transmit genital herpes even without visible symptoms. Herpes treatment is, however, important when an outbreak occurs.

The common signs of herpes include fever blisters, enlarged lymph nodes, and mouth sores. The virus may, however, hide in the nervous system and become active once more where there are certain triggers. Among the triggers for herpes virus activity are such as hormonal changes, stress, illness, surgery, certain food and a weakened immunity. For treatment of herpes, however, certain home remedies would be helpful. The following are some of them.

1. Applying Ice cubes.

This remedy involve the use of ice cubes wrapped in plastic bag. The ice pack is then applied to the blister. The cold compresses should be repeated two or three times every day for one week. The reason why an ice pack is a good home remedy for herpes is that it controls swelling and relieves pain. Therefore, the ice pack relieves underlying tissue from burning sensation and pain due to the blisters.

2. Baking soda application.

Because of its many applications, baking soda is a popular home remedy. For herpes treatment, however, you should mix 2-3 teaspoons of the baking soda with a glass of warm water. Apply the solution to the blisters using surgical cotton balls. For successful treatment, apply the solution 2-3 times daily. However, baking soda produces a soothing effect because it is mild alkaline. Therefore, it offers relief from itching and burning sensation of herpes blisters. Baking soda is also a good anti-inflammatory agent that help to minimize swelling as a result of blistering wounds.

Although there is no known medication to eliminate herpes virus, doctors may give antiviral drugs to reduce virus multiplication. Through home remedies for herpes, however, you can get the remedy you need.
